Researchers at the Yale School of Public Health have found that death records of LGBTQ youth who died by suicide were substantially more likely to mention bullying as a factor than their non-LGBTQ peers.
Ampio Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company conducting clinical trials on its three lead drugs (Zertane completed two phase III studies, Ampion-completed proof of concept studies and Optina), licensing distribution of these drugs and engaged in further drug development, today announced that it completed the planned interim review of the first 50% of patients enrolled in the Optina trial for diabetic macular edema.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today issued final guidance for people who wish to comment during the agency's advisory committee meetings. The guidance provides instructions on how to request a time to speak and how FDA staff should respond to requests to speak at the meetings.
"A major milestone was achieved on April 12, when Honduras became the first country in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region to officially launch an integrated national plan to combat neglected tropical diseases (NTDs)," the the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases' "End the Neglect" blog reports.
