A genetically engineered virus can selectively kill cancerous cells in the lung and colon while leaving healthy cells intact, according to new research published today in Cancer Research by William Wold and colleagues at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on acquiring, in-licensing, developing and commercializing proprietary products principally for use in the hospital setting, today announced a new supply agreement with Laboratorios Grifols, S.A. for the development, manufacture and supply of commercial quantities of OFIRMEV (acetaminophen) injection in flexible plastic bags.
Medical science teaching and research will receive a boost when RMIT University and scientific equipment provider PerkinElmer open a newly fitted hi-tech biochemistry teaching laboratory in RMIT's Biosciences Building, in Bundoora next week.
