October is a month that is known for pumpkin picking, hayrides and beautiful fall foliage. This cause is as important as ever, with approximately 1 in 8 women in the United States developing invasive breast cancer during her lifetime.
The medical technology developed by Integrated Medical Systems, Inc., has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Treasury Department as a "qualified therapeutic discovery." The designation earns the company a grant to off-set its development efforts. The Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project designation and grant is provided for under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
Researchers in the United States have shown that an antibody test measuring host reactivity to the nucleocapsid protein of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) may better detect natural infection among vaccinated individuals than an assay that measures reactivity to the viral spike protein.
Recent international studies of math and science education suggest that students in the United States are falling further behind their foreign counterparts.
