PENTAX Medical announces the addition of new dedicated electrosurgical and argon plasma coagulation platforms – the ENDO ARC and ENDO PLUS – to its therapeutic accessories range.
We celebrate our triumphs over adversity, but let's face it: We'd rather not experience difficulty at all. A new study ties that behavioral inclination to learning: When researchers added a bit of conflict to make a learning task more difficult, that additional conflict biased learning by reducing the influence of reward and increasing the influence of aversion to punishment.
The overall project will concentrate on three areas where Europe is in a relatively favourable position compared with the US - human tissue resources, ribonucleic acid (RNA) technology, and structural proteomics. However, the initial focus will be on the development of genomics targets in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or liver cancer as it is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide and has a very poor prognosis.
Provectus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a development-stage oncology and dermatology biopharmaceutical company, announced today that Dr. Sanjiv Agarwala, in his presentation at the Seventh International Symposium on Melanoma and Other Cutaneous Malignancies on March 12, 2010, commented on the involvement of the immune system in response to PV-10 therapy and its role in the "bystander effect" in treating metastatic melanoma. Dr. Agarwala's presentation, entitled "Chemoablation in Melanoma: An Update," was given in the session entitled "Unique Approaches to Melanoma Therapy."
