"Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, the state's biggest health insurer, is requesting increases averaging 12 percent, on the lower end of the range it submitted earlier in the spring. Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, the number two carrier, wants increases that range from 8.8 percent to 11.9 percent, about the same range it sought in the round that was rejected" (Weisman, 6/3).
"There is a direct correlation between access to voluntary family planning, women's empowerment and environmental sustainability," author Diane MacEachern writes in the Huffington Post's "Global Motherhood" blog, adding, "And though the official delegates to last week's 'Earth Summit' tried to water it down, thousands of grassroots activists made it one of the biggest issues to rock Rio+20, as the event was also called."
According to a new study, walking or cycling or participating aerobic exercises at least three times a week can improve brain power among the elderly.
