Researchers from Mount Sinai School of Medicine have for the first time developed a way to visualize coronary artery plaques vulnerable to rupture using multi-color computed tomography (CT), an innovation that will lead to better and earlier diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. The data are published in the September issue of Radiology.
It is an extremely interesting rationale for the use of n-of-1 randomized trials, particularly for complementary and alternative medicine evaluation in the treatment of chronic, difficult to treat disorders.
Almac is making substantial progress in transitioning operations to its new headquarters in Souderton, PA, especially in the area of distribution. The new facility has been successfully shipping clinical trial materials since November, and has recently seen an increase in shipment volumes due to the added efficiencies the new building provides.
Scientists from The Scripps Research Institute have uncovered new evidence that challenges the current theory about a process key to the way modern drugs are designed and how they work in the human body.
