The grant, in the amount of $244,479, has been made to defer some of the Company's research expenditures related to the development of its novel and patented technology, CollaFix™, as a drug delivery device.
Hypnotherapy helps fight IBS symptoms. These are the findings of a thesis from Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden which proposes implementing this treatment method into the care of severe sufferers of this common disease.
Resverlogix is pleased to announce that the Phase 2 ASSERT clinical trial for its lead drug, RVX-208, a small molecule therapy for the treatment of atherosclerosis has now completed dosing. "The completion of dosing for our Phase 2 ASSERT trial, five months ahead of schedule and without any alterations to the dose levels of the three drug receiving cohorts, is another major step forward in the development of this important cardiovascular drug.
The protein glycomacropeptide (GMP) is derived from whey, the liquid by-product of the cheese-making process. GMP contains low amounts of the amino acid phenylalanine. Individuals who suffer from phenylketonuria—a metabolic disorder that causes cognitive impairment when phenylalanine level is too high—can use GMP as an alternative protein source. GMP supplementation has also been observed to improve gastrointestinal health by protecting the digestive system from pathogens and by having an anti-inflammatory effect.
The Congressional Budget Office reports the deficit is shrinking at a faster-than-expected rate this year. Medicare and Medicaid outlays are smaller than anticipated, and health care cost increases appear to have slowed. The numbers are expected to lessen the momentum to cut spending on Medicare and other entitlement programs.
