Bristol-Myers Squibb Company today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a supplemental new drug application for SUSTIVA (efavirenz), including dosing recommendations for HIV-1 infected pediatric patients three months to three years old and weighing at least 3.5 kg.
Cancer cells circulating in the blood, or circulating tumour cells (CTCs), are known to be associated with a bad prognosis in women with metastatic breast cancer. Now, for the first time, a group of scientists have shown that they can also detect CTCs before and after chemotherapy treatment and hence may be able to identify those patients likely to have a recurrence of their cancer after such treatment in future.
EpiCept Corporation announced today that on February 11, 2010, the Board of Directors of EpiCept Corporation adopted an amendment to the company's Amended and Restated By-Laws to provide that a quorum for the transaction of business at any meeting of the stockholders of the Company shall consist of the holders of one third of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of the Company.
