Researchers at the University of Cincinnati have found that the race and sex of study personnel can influence a patient's decision on whether or not to participate in clinical research.
Genzyme, a Sanofi company, announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review the company's resubmission of its supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) seeking approval of LemtradaTM (alemtuzumab) for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis.
Our understanding of the importance of microRNAs in regulating gene expression is expanding, and with it our requirement for robust methods to measure their expression levels. Now a new method published in BioMed Central's open access journal Genome Biology helps researchers to better understand the delicate interplay between differences in microRNA expression levels and their target genes.
When schools cut physical education programs so students can spend more time in the classroom, they may be missing a golden opportunity to promote learning, according to research to be presented Sunday, May 1, at the Pediatric Academic Societies annual meeting in Denver.
