A study conducted at Scripps Health has found that a novel new heart monitoring device helped emergency room patients avoid unnecessary follow-up care. Scripps Health electrophysiologist Steven Higgins, MD, presented findings of the study titled, "Prevalence of Arrhythmias in Emergency Department Patients Discharged Using a Novel Ambulatory Cardiac Monitor", today at the Heart Rhythm Society's 33rd Annual Scientific Sessions in Boston.
Proxsys Rx, the nation's largest Integrated Outpatient Pharmacy Provider (IOPP), now provides an end-to-end solution to hospitals to help them comply with all aspects of the 340B program. Under the federally mandated 340B program, drug makers must provide eligible organizations with certain prescription drugs at significantly reduced prices.
The proteasome is a major proteolytic machine that regulates cellular proteostasis through selective degradation of ubiquitylated proteins.
Researchers have launched a clinical trial to develop a breath test, analyzing molecules that could indicate the presence of cancer at an early stage.
