Neuroscientists at The University of Queensland have developed a new animal model of schizophrenia that will enable researchers around the world to better understand the disease and develop new treatments.
Because of its participation in a pivotal trial, Henry Ford Hospital will be the first in Michigan to offer electric stimulation of the brain using a newly FDA-approved device for hard-to-treat epilepsy cases.
A new analysis of the prehistoric origin of malaria suggests that it evolved in insects at least 100 million years ago, and the first vertebrate hosts of this disease were probably reptiles, which at that time would have included the dinosaurs.
The University of Kentucky has received a $12.2 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue its work to better understand and minimize negative health and environmental impacts from hazardous waste sites.
YM BioSciences Inc., today announced that the previously announced offering of approximately US$15 million has been increased to approximately US$17.5 million.
