Seattle Children's Autism Center today announced the launch of The Autism Blog, a new blog for parents and caregivers of children with autism. Authored by physicians, nurses, psychologists and other staff, the blog offers a practitioner's perspective on topics relevant to parenting a child with autism.
The subject of the EU's BRIDGE project is transnational and interagency cooperation in the event of terror attacks, natural disasters and industrial accidents. The project is being led by SINTEF and was launched in April 2011.
Neuroscientists at the University at Buffalo have shown in two recently published papers that destabilization of structures called microtubules, intracellular highways that transport receptors to their working sites in the brain, likely underlie many mental disorders and could be promising targets for intervention.
Australia is leading efforts to tackle the looming HIV/AIDS crisis in the region by more than doubling our funding - to $600 million by 2010 - to combat the virus and prevent an African-style tragedy.
