The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response awarded $3 million to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital to establish a Pediatric Disaster Care Center of Excellence.
A new report published in the preprint server medRxiv in September 2020 shows the close relationship between the re-opening of colleges, especially those drawing students from high-incidence areas, and those offering in-person instruction, and the significant increase in the incidence of COVID-19 among students and the community.
An unprecedented alliance of leading scientists, health professionals, and children's and environmental health advocates agree for the first time that today's scientific evidence supports a link between exposures to toxic chemicals in air, water, food and everyday products and children's risks for neurodevelopmental disorders.
A research consortium headed by Professor Hossam Haick of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is developing a product that, when coupled with a smartphone, will be able to screen the user's breath for early detection of life-threatening diseases.
