Without evidenced-based treatment approaches, outcomes have varied widely. Philippe E. Spiess, M.D., an associate member in the Department of Genitourinary Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center, presented new National Comprehensive Cancer Network Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology to standardize care for penile cancer in an article that appeared in the July issue of the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
A painful and debilitating condition that affects patients with kidney failure may be more common than previously believed and appears to be strongly associated with prior exposure to certain contrast agents used in imaging studies.
A multi-disciplinary expert group calls for greater attention to be paid to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) to bring it out of the shadows. The IBS Global Impact Report is launched at United European Gastroenterology Week and examines published studies on the direct and indirect costs of IBS.
