Researchers have conducted a study showing substantial reductions in the number of people attending primary care services for key physical and mental health conditions in the UK since lockdown was introduced on March 23rd this year.
The biotechnology company Alimentary Health today announced results from two studies that demonstrate the anti-inflammatory activity of a natural probiotic bacterial strain of human origin, Bifantis (Bifidobacterium infantis 35624), in models of arthritis and Salmonella infection.
"We must make primary care a more manageable business by changing the way we pay for it," with primary care physicians paid by the hour, Robin Cook, a physician and author of the novel "Crisis," writes in a New York Times opinion piece.
DATATRAK International, Inc., a technology and services company focused on global eClinical solutions for the clinical trials industry, today announced its operating results for the first quarter of 2010: $1.7 million revenue, $10.7 million backlog and 82% gross profit margin; all resulting in profitability.
Researchers have found how sensory nerve cells work together to transmit itch signals from the skin to the spinal cord, where neurons then carry those signals to the brain. Their discovery may help scientists find more effective ways to make itching stop.
