IBM Watson Health and Illumina, Inc. today announced a groundbreaking partnership to expand access to genome data interpretation by integrating Watson for Genomics into Illumina's BaseSpace Sequence Hub and tumor sequencing process. The collaboration is designed to help standardize and simplify genomic data interpretation.
A group of volunteers ate half a kilo of strawberries every day for two weeks to demonstrate that eating this fruit improves the antioxidant capacity of blood. The study, carried out by Italian and Spanish researchers, showed that strawberries boost red blood cells' response to oxidative stress, an imbalance that is associated with various diseases.
Patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma treated with targeted therapies have a better prognosis if they also have a high quality of muscle, study findings indicate.
