French researchers have created a 13-item patient-administered questionnaire for identifying a recent or present rheumatoid arthritis flare.
Drug Safety Alliance, a global leader in drug safety and pharmacovigilance, announced that Dr. Elizabeth Garrard, PharmD, RPh, would participate in "Late Phase Drug Development World 2010," a first of its kind strategic forum addressing challenges in drug development.
It seems that the genes of Zebrafish have much in common with humans' and scientists believe that studying the fish may help solve the mystery of human skin colour.
Researchers from Fox Chase Cancer Center have found that omega-3 fatty acids and their metabolite products slow or stop the proliferation, or growth in the number of cells, of triple-negative breast cancer cells more effectively than cells from luminal types of the disease.
A new study from the Center for Interdisciplinary Chronobiological Research at the University of Haifa has found an additional link between Light At Night (LAN) and cancer. This research joins a series of earlier studies carried out at the University of Haifa that also established the correlation. "High power light bulbs contribute more to 'environmental light pollution', which the study has shown is a carcinogenic pollution," notes Prof. Abraham Haim, who headed the study.
