Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, announces the launch of Epilepsy & Behavior Case Reports a new, online-only, Open Access journal devoted to the rapid publication of case reports on the behavioral aspects of seizures and epilepsy. As a sister journal to Epilepsy & Behavior, case reports published in the new journal will benefit from wide exposure and cross-promotion of the two titles.
An international team of scientists headed by Grégoire Courtine at EPFL and CHUV and Aaron Phillips at the University of Calgary has developed a treatment that can dramatically improve the lives of patients with a spinal cord injury.
WebMD Health Corp., the leading source of health information, announced today that it has entered into an alliance with Drugs.com to exclusively integrate Drugs.com's advertising inventory and online traffic into the WebMD Health Network. Drugs.com provides free, accurate and independent information on more than 24,000 prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines and natural products.
The use of antipsychotic medication in nearly 100 Massachusetts nursing homes was significantly reduced when staff was trained to recognize challenging behaviors of cognitively impaired residents as communication of their unmet needs, according to a new study led by Jennifer Tjia, MD, MSCE, associate professor of quantitative health sciences.
