The private member's bill to protect children and teenagers from the dangers of sunbeds was passed today by the House of Lords after Cancer Research UK's campaign.
Initial results of a first and largest of its kind study focusing on the safety of adolescent bariatric surgery were published this week in JAMA Pediatrics. The identification of genetic variants of the α-synuclein gene may help to predict which individuals with idiopathic Parkinson's disease are likely to experience fast progression of motor symptoms, according to findings from a US-based genetic study.
Using nanoparticles and alternating magnetic fields, University of Georgia scientists have found that head and neck cancerous tumor cells in mice can be killed in half an hour without harming healthy cells.
