Treatments for childhood cancer and other pediatric catastrophic diseases can affect appetite. At St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a team of dietitians work with patients to ensure proper nutritional care.
Ten years "since heads of state of African Union countries met in Abuja, Nigeria, and pledged to set a target of allocating 'at least 15%' of their annual budget to improve the health sector, only Rwanda and South Africa have reached the objective," according to a recent WHO report, BMJ News reports/
New toxicology findings reveal the presence of drugs and/or alcohol in 76 per cent of women and men who suspect they were victims of drug-facilitated sexual assault. Of those, 64 per cent did not report voluntarily consuming the drugs found, supporting their belief that they may have been slipped a drug. In addition, unexpected male DNA was found in a substantial number of cases, confirming sexual activity.
The estimate was part of an analysis done by the Health Research Institute at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
