Genia Technologies, Inc. today announced that the company, as part of a research consortium with Columbia University and Harvard Medical School, received a Revolutionary Genome Sequencing Technologies – The $1,000 Genome grant from the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The Medical University of South Carolina and Ignis Health share a common goal - improving telehealth. Earlier this month, Ignis licensed the Telehealth Service Implementation Model (TSIM), a roadmap for setting up a telehealth program developed by Shawn Valenta, former administrator for the MUSC Health Center for Telehealth, and other telehealth experts at MUSC.
The National Fragile X Foundation has awarded a translational research seed grant of $100,000 to Dr. Randi J. Hagerman at the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute in California for a study of minocycline in the treatment of children with fragile X syndrome (FXS). Hagerman is an internationally recognized clinician and clinical researcher on FXS, the most common cause of inherited mental impairment.
Loss of strength and muscle wastage is currently an unavoidable part of getting older and has a significant impact on health and quality of life.
