Raising The Ages Of Eligibility For Medicare And Social Security - The authors analyzed a scenario in which the eligibility age - current 65 - would be increased by two months every year until it reached 67 in 2027. They found that would cut Medicare expenditures by 5 percent but many people between the ages of 65 and 67 would pay more for health care.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. announced today that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana has issued a decision invalidating two patents listed in the FDA's Orange Book for Eli Lilly's Evista® (raloxifene hydrochloride) Tablets in litigation concerning Teva's abbreviated new drug application to market a generic version. The court found these patents to be invalid for lack of written description.
A drug which was designed to help people quit smoking is causing concern following a number of reports that it induces suicidal feelings and aggressive and erratic behaviour.
A new study reveals that adverse drug reactions in newborns and infants may be under-reported.
