Michigan State University researchers are studying the role that statins - lifesavers for tens of millions of Americans trying to lower their cholesterol - play in causing disabling tendon ruptures.
Pasteurized human milk is a recommended alternative for hospitalized sick newborns when their own mother's milk is not available, according to a new statement by the Canadian Paediatric Society. The statement, published today in Paediatrics & Child Health, says that human milk banking in Canada should be encouraged and promoted.

These are the main findings of a study carried out with the collaboration of Giorgia Silani, from the International School for Advanced Studies of Trieste.

Early treatment of flu-hospitalized people 65 and older with flu antiviral medications cuts the duration of their hospital stay and reduces their risk of needing extended care after discharge, a new CDC study finds.
