Required online rules meetings for Michigan high school coaches this fall will include a concussion education module from U-M's Michigan NeuroSport and Pediatric Trauma Program at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.
Researchers at the University of Exeter and UCL (University College London) have identified a gene which can be used to predict how susceptible a young person is to the mind-altering effects of smoking cannabis. The finding could help identify otherwise healthy users who are most at risk of developing psychosis.
GlaxoSmithKline Inc. (GSK) As part of its broad commitment to improving access to medicines and its ongoing support for Canada's Access to Medicines Regime (CAMR), GlaxoSmithKline confirms it will not object - through CAMR - to allow Canadian company (Apotex) to continue manufacturing their drug for the treatment of HIV/AIDS in Rwanda.
The research now published in the journal Development shows how Dia mutations in fruit flies embryos result in a serious of defects during morphogenesis (process by which cells differentiate into tissues and structures), including loss of adhesion, abnormal movements and even migration of cells from one tissue to another.
