Delcath Systems, Inc. announced that updated results from the metastatic neuroendocrine tumor (mNET) cohort of the Company's recently completed Phase 2 clinical trial were presented at the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) congress held this week in Munich, Germany.
Italian study results confirm that a multivariate serum protein test predicts improved survival after treatment with chemotherapy versus erlotinib for non-small-cell lung cancer, but only among patients who are likely to have a poor outcome with the latter treatment type.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. However, according to Mark Pochapin, MD, the Sholtz/Leeds professor of Gastroenterology and director of the Division of Gastroenterology at NYU Langone Medical Center : "With early screening and prevention, this is one cancer that is highly curable and often preventable."
