A new study published in the Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology in November says houseplants aren't much good at removing pollutants from your home. The researchers systematically reviewed a dozen other studies, looking at factors related to indoor air quality, and especially on the contribution of potted plants to the efficient removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Fujikura Ltd and Micro-Imaging Solutions announced that they have entered into a license agreement to jointly co-market nano-sized, complementary metal-oxide semiconductor, or CMOS, based endoscopes.
GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services provided and serves as administrative agent for $90 million in senior secured credit facilities to Guardian Healthcare, a leading Medicare-certified provider of professional home healthcare services. The credit facilities will be used for a significant acquisition and to refinance existing indebtedness. The remaining funds will be used for additional growth capital and general corporate purposes.
