A new collaboration of university and non-university research institutes and two companies is investigating why our immune defence is getting weaker when we become old.
Cancer researchers have identified six gene markers present in early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that show promise in helping oncologists better identify which tumors will relapse after curative surgery, according to a study presented at the 2010 Chicago Multidisciplinary Symposium in Thoracic Oncology.
Hyperuricemia rates among the nation's adults and senior citizens remain substantially high, putting them at greater risk for developing gout, according to research presented at the Nov 2010, American College of Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting in Atlanta.
