British drug regulators have issued a safety alert on Thursday after discovering packs of the over-the-counter painkiller Nurofen Plus containing the anti-psychotic drug Seroquel XL.
Old and poor people are less likely to have knee replacement surgery, although their need is often greater than that of younger, more affluent people, reveals a large scale study in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases.
From the minute they wake until the minute they sleep, today's teenagers have busy, demanding schedules. Life may be hectic, but an acne care routine doesn't have to get in the way, according to a new study published in the July 2010 issue of Journal of Drugs in Dermatology.
Giving patients steroids at the time of heart surgery does not improve health outcomes and appears to put them at greater risk of having a heart attack in the days following surgery, according to research presented at the American College of Cardiology's 63rd Annual Scientific Session.
