The Philadelphia Inquirer on Monday examined how the Medicare prescription drug benefit "is boosting prescription volume and revenue for drug companies."
DePuy Mitek, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of orthopaedic sports medicine products and soft tissue repair devices, announced the launch of ENDURANCE Hip Solutions, a new system of instruments and devices that marks the company's entry into the rapidly growing field of hip arthroscopy.
The study by NCP examined the habits of 2,500 drivers using car park CCTV footage. It found that women were better at finding a space, aligning their vehicles to prepare to park, and were more centered when finally parked. They also note that when men drive with a female passenger they are more likely to "pose park" — in other words, try to impress his female companion — by choosing the smaller of two vacant spaces.
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder caused by the death of dopaminergic neurons in a part of the brain (known as substantia nigra pars compacta), which leads to a deficit of dopamine (DA), one of the main neurotransmitters active in the central nervous system.
The World Program Program (WFP), with the support of UNAIDS, is planning to launch "a new policy to make food and nutritional support more available to people living with HIV," VOA News reports. The agency "says the aim of [the] program is to help patients stick to their treatment, while protecting their households from further vulnerability," the news service adds.
