A novel project set in a rural community near Rochester, N.Y., to screen elderly people for unmet needs showed that, indeed, there is a great opportunity to match older adults with professional assistance. This new model of care for rural-dwelling adults is described this month in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.
NeoGenomics, Inc., a leading provider of cancer-focused genetic testing services today reported that it had been awarded two research and development grants totaling $374,479 from the US government under HR: 3590 - Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (the "Act").
As new polls show a narrow margin separating them, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney will face questions on their plans for Medicare, Medicaid and overhauling the health system during tonight's debate. The focus will be on domestic policy, and at least 15 minutes will be dedicated to health care.
