Researchers have published a new study that suggests a signaling pathway called ROBO2 is a therapeutic target for kidney diseases, specifically kidney podocyte injury and glomerular diseases.
The American Urological Association (AUA) is aware of recent news reports disparaging prostate cancer testing. We are concerned that these reports are causing significant confusion for patients and we wish to clarify our recommendations on prostate cancer testing with the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test and digital rectal exam (DRE). The AUA strongly supports early prostate cancer detection and feels it is in a man's best interest to consider being tested for prostate cancer.
Since smoking became popular in America in the 1930s, lung cancer rates have continued to climb. Today, it is still the leading cause of cancer-related deaths, with totals more than the other five leading cancers combined.
Catalyst Health Solutions, Inc., a pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company, announced today that it has entered into an amended agreement with Wachovia Bank, N.A., a Wells Fargo Company, to extend and increase its secured revolving credit facility. The new credit facility will mature on October 9, 2012 and has been increased from $50 million to $100 million.
Critical access hospitals face significant challenges in their infection prevention and control practices, according to new research presented at the 45th Annual Conference of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
