A novel chemical compound that blocks memory-related drug cravings has the potential to be the basis of new therapies to aid drug-addiction recovery efforts, UC Irvine neurobiologists have found.
Chronix Biomedical today reported a summary of data supporting the utility of its serum DNA blood tests for the early and accurate detection of breast cancer and prostate cancer. The unique testing algorithms developed by Chronix detected and correctly identified DNA fragments in the blood from dying (apoptotic) cancer cells with 92% sensitivity and 100% specificity in both prostate cancer and breast cancer.
The launch of Invivo Corporation's ONCAD for DynaCAD marks the availability of the first FDA-cleared, fully-automated morphological system for the detection and analysis by a radiologist of suspicious breast lesions.
