The drinking habits of a romantic partner's friends are more likely to impact an adolescent's future drinking than are the behaviors of an adolescent's own friends or significant other, according to a new study in the October issue of the American Sociological Review.
CVS Caremark said the company's comprehensive adherence program for people with diabetes positively impacts medication adherence for both new and continuing patients. A review of data tracking the program found that 75.6 percent of patients continuing on a diabetes therapy who participated in the adherence program maintained optimal adherence to their prescribed therapy vs. 61.2 percent in the control group.
Results from a new study show that risk factors for cardiovascular disease and diabetes were similar when participants consumed a healthy US-style eating pattern with and without an additional 5.3 ounces of lean beef.
