ACR Image Metrix™, an imaging contract research organization (CRO) located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce that Mehdi Adineh, Ph.D., scientific director of the imaging core laboratory of the American College of Radiology (ACR), has been named an industry leader by Life Science Leader magazine.
Scientists from the Florida campus of The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) have been awarded a $2.3 million grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health to develop new technology to diagnose cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and colitis.
A new study shows that pancreatic cancer stem cells (PancSCs) are virtually addicted to oxygen-based metabolism, and could be "suffocated" with a drug already used to treat diabetes.
