In one of the first reported cases of its kind, a 3-week-old infant in critical condition recovered from COVID-19 due to rapid recognition and treatment by physicians from McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/
CEL-SCI Corporation announced today that it has received approval to begin enrollment of patients in its Phase III clinical trial of Multikine® from the Polish Minister of Health. This approval marks a very important milestone, namely that all nine countries in the study have now given official government approval. Five of about 48 clinical centers for this global trial will be located in Poland.
While many studies have examined the impact of bias based on race, gender or sexual orientation, religious discrimination in the health care workplace has received little research attention. A new study funded by the John Templeton Foundation and conducted at the University of Chicago finds that for Muslim Americans, even those in one the nation's most highly regarded professions, encounter a less-than-inclusive and welcoming work environment during their career.
