U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc., a leading national operator of outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinics, has acquired a 70% interest in a five clinic outpatient physical therapy group. The practice presently has more than 58,000 patient visits per year and produces approximately $6.9 million in annual revenue.
More than a decade of data indicates teens have become far less likely to abuse alcohol, nicotine and illicit drugs, and they also are less likely to engage in delinquent behaviors, such as fighting and stealing, according to results of a national survey analyzed by researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
SynGen Inc., a company that focuses on the development and commercialization of instrument systems that harvest stem and progenitor cells from umbilical cord blood, bone marrow, peripheral blood, and cell culture, announced today that, after extensive review of competitive systems, The Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre in Nottingham UK has chosen the SynGenXTM-1000 System and the CryoPRO Workstation to process its umbilical cord blood units. Anthony Nolan has signed a 5-year contract with Deva Medical Electronics Ltd, SynGen Inc.'s UK distributor, for the supply of SynGen's products and all post-sales support, starting late summer 2015.
Oxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc. today announced that results from U.S. Navy studies demonstrated decreased mortality in porcine animal models that were given an intravenous dose of Oxycyte® perfluorocarbon emulsion (PFCE) after the onset of decompression sickness (DCS). These results showed a statistically significant decrease in mortality compared with the control group that did not receive Oxycyte PFCE. This data was published in the June issue of Aviation Space and Environmental Medicine.
