HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock, previously Reliant Rehabilitation Hospital Central Texas, is currently notifying potentially affected individuals that a laptop containing unsecured protected health information was stolen from the trunk of an employee's vehicle on or around Oct. 21, 2015.

Novo Nordisk announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved NovoSeven® RT (Coagulation Factor VIIa [Recombinant] Room Temperature Stable) in an 8 mg vial size, making the hemophilia A or B with inhibitors treatment available in 1, 2, 5 and 8 mg vials. The 8 mg vial allows a rapid initiation and administration of this medication for those patients who need a larger dose. In addition, FDA has also approved the extension of shelf life for all vial sizes from 24 months to 36 months at room temperature (at or below 77 degrees Fahrenheit).

Mayo Clinic residents attribute traffic incidents to fatigue and distress

It appears that long, arduous hours in the hospital are causing more than stress and fatigue among doctors-in-training - they're crashing, or nearly crashing, their cars after work, according to new Mayo Clinic research. Nearly half of the roughly 300 Mayo Clinic residents polled during the course of their residencies reported nearly getting into a motor vehicle crash during their training, and about 11 percent were actually involved in a traffic accident.
