USAID awarded CONRAD a five year project with a $2 million ceiling to focus on testing the safety and effectiveness of the SILCS diaphragm, the one-size-fits-most contraceptive barrier, combined with tenofovir gel - the only topical product proven to prevent the acquisition of HIV and Herpes Simplex Virus.
The Australian Government has announced that a mechanism for implementing the new Medicare allied health initiative from 1 July 2004 has been finalised following consultations with GP and allied health professional groups.
Health benefits from polyphenol antioxidants - substances found in many fruits and vegetables - may come at a cost to some people.
