A new study demonstrates, for the first time, that "social robots" used in support sessions held in pediatric units at hospitals can lead to more positive emotions in sick children.
iCONECT, developers of the award winning, visually rich and intuitively simple XERA e-discovery software, announced today that it is establishing a partnership with Lockheed Martin's Information Systems & Global Solutions to address application decommissioning needs in the U.S. commercial healthcare industry, consolidate silos of legacy electronic medical records (EMR), and reduce the cost of preserving and accessing these records.
A Dutch study suggests that among children with mild or moderate symptoms of throat infections, surgery to remove the tonsils may be more expensive but not necessarily more beneficial than watchful waiting, according to a report in the November issue of Archives of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
Children with cryptogenic stroke, including that associated with previous varicella infection, are very unlikely to have a recurrence, report researchers.
