Harry Janssen (Erasmus University Medical Centre, Rotterdam, Netherlands) and colleagues assessed whether combination treatment with pegylated interferon alfa-2b and the antiviral agent lamivudine was more efficacious in treating chronic hepatitis B infection than pegylated interferon alfa-2b therapy alone.
