Middle school students who eat breakfast at school - even if they have already had breakfast at home - are less likely to be overweight or obese than students who skip breakfast, says a new study by the Community Alliance for Research and Engagement at the Yale School of Public Health and the Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity at the University of Connecticut.
South Carolina won't have to refund the federal government a $1 million grant it received even though the state decided to not create a health insurance exchange. Mississippi and California, in the meantime, are moving along on creating such marketplaces, despite differing views on the health law.
A research letter by Mary R. L'Abbe, Ph.D., of the University of Toronto, Canada, and colleagues examined the nutritional profile of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals from sit-down restaurants.
