A team of international researchers has learned that dose escalation of hydroxyurea treatment for children in Uganda with sickle cell anemia is more effective and has similar side effects than a lower fixed dose of the same drug.

United Therapeutics Corporation today announced receipt of a Paragraph IV Certification Notice Letter on February 3, 2012 from Sandoz Inc. advising that Sandoz has submitted an Abbreviated New Drug Application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration requesting approval to market a generic version of the 10 mg/mL strength of Remodulin (treprostinil) injection.
