Astute Medical, Inc. today hailed the launch of a collaborative global initiative calling for the elimination of preventable deaths from acute kidney injury (AKI) by 2025. The Company cited the publication of a new Commission from The Lancet and the International Society of Nephrology, along with the release of results from the 0by25 AKI "Global Snapshot" study, as key steps forward in the effort to reduce the global burden of AKI.
A study of around 300 volunteers, conducted in Austria by MedUni Vienna in collaboration with Diagnostic Graz, convincingly shows that Magnetic Resonance Imaging is the best choice for clarifying ambiguous mammography results.
People at risk for a certain form of colon and other types of cancer may soon have a better chance at surviving or even avoiding the diseases, thanks to a new study done by the Intermountain Clinical Genetics Institute at LDS Hospital.
