A new study evaluating a form of Chinese massage, tuina, in patients with chronic neck pain found it to be effective, safe, and cost-effective compared to no treatment.
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria on Thursday launched a campaign to generate public support for efforts to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV by 2015, the BBC reports. "The Born HIV Free campaign comes at a critical time, with the fund seeking donations of up to $20bn over the next three years," the BBC continues.

A disability rights group in Texas sent out a survey last month, trying to figure out how many of its members became disabled due to gun violence. The group, ADAPT of Texas, said it's an effort to collect data that will help inform Texas lawmakers on how they legislate guns.
