Cell Therapeutics, Inc. announced today an abstract to be published online at the journal Blood website by M. Hacker, et al. demonstrating significant reduction in cardiac cell toxicity with pixantrone compared to currently marketed anthracyclines. The authors conclude that the reduction is due to pixantrone's inability to generate toxic drug iron complexes and reduced propensity to generate oxygen free radicals.
In order to fulfill the mission of protecting life and health, and to inherit the advanced scientific technologies created by Dr. Rongxiang Xu in his lifetime and his spirit of healing the wounded and rescuing the dying, the Global Conference for Collaboration and Development on Regenerative Life Science cosponsored by The Chinese Red Cross Foundation and Beijing MEBO Institute for Burns, Wounds and Ulcers will be held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Jan. 6, 2016.
Researchers say that clinicians must give more attention to working women who experience pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy to prevent recurrence during the postpartum period.
Fascinating studies giving new insights into the spread of leishmaniosis in the UK and France, the appearance of new CVBDs in Germany, the state of heartworm infection in Korea and the neurological impact on humans of long-term bartonella infection from the USA are among the papers now available for download from http://www.cvbd.org, as the proceedings of the 5th Annual Canine Vector Borne Disease (CVBD) World Forum are made available online today.
