Researchers from the University of Copenhagen, together with colleagues from the University of Colorado, Tufts University, Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Fisiopatología de la Obesidad y Nutrición and Gelesis, Inc., presented new data demonstrating that blood sugar (glucose) and/or fasting insulin should be used to select the right diet, particularly for people with prediabetes and diabetes
Research findings suggest that patients with bipolar disorder who reside in the United States have a higher parental incidence of bipolar disorder and depression than those who live in Europe.
While testosterone replacement therapies may be controversial in males, new research in The FASEB Journal may extend this controversy to females too. That's because research involving mice, appearing in the April 2015 issue, suggests that there is an association between low levels of androgens (which includes testosterone), and atherosclerosis and obesity in females.
Morris Animal Foundation, a global leader in advancing animal health, has awarded $553,000 to fund five studies designed to improve the care, rehabilitation and release of wildlife impacted by wildfires.
