Bleeding does occur in approximately one-quarter of patients who do not become pregnant. These data were presented at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) annual meeting in Atlanta.

IOM study calls for increased oral health awareness in the U.S.

This is the point of a new report by the Institute of Medicine, Advancing Oral Health in America, which underscores a public health crisis that has persisted more than a decade after the U.S. Surgeon General called for aggressively reversing the "silent epidemic" of America's oral health disparity. Many of the most pernicious oral health diseases are highly preventable and treatable.

New study confirms effectiveness of inhaled epinephrine to treat croup

For more than 30 years, pediatricians have treated children who have croup with inhaled epinephrine to relieve their symptoms quickly. Now, a new review confirms the value of this approach to treat this common respiratory illness, which sometimes turns serious and - in rare instances - can prove fatal.
