CoAxia Inc. of Maple Grove, MN, announced today that the results of the SENTIS clinical trial a worldwide, multi-center, randomized study of its NeuroFlo catheter were presented on Saturday, October 16th, by SENTIS Principal Investigator, Professor Ashfaq Shuaib at the 2010 World Stroke Congress in Seoul, South Korea.
"The Senate has sidetracked legislation raising Medicare payments for doctors by $247 billion over the next decade," The Associated Press reports. "The 47-53 vote was 13 short of the 60 needed to advance the measure, and reflected bipartisan concern that it would have raised deficits if it became law" (10/21).
Researchers have developed a method that could help rapidly diagnose preeclampsia in pregnant women. They have also uncovered clues that might help explain why women with preeclampsia often develop an abnormal amount of protein in the urine, or proteinuria.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers not to eat Veggie Booty snack food, marketed by Robert's American Gourmet, due to possible contamination with Salmonella Wandsworth, bacteria that cause gastrointestinal illness.
