The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given it's approval for a new antibiotic to fight bacterial infections.
A research team from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, led by Madeleine Cunningham, Ph.D., in conjunction with the National Institute of Mental Health, has developed the first-of-its-kind biomarker test to help detect autoimmune-induced neuropsychiatric disorders.
In a recent paper published in the prestigious journal Cell, researchers from Sweden and Italy show that inflammatory response in Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children associated with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) differs from the cytokine storm found in severe acute illness, involving autoantibodies at the same time and sharing several features with Kawasaki disease.
Hadasit Bio-Holdings Ltd., a publicly traded portfolio of biotech companies, based on intellectual property developed and owned by Hadassah University Hospital, Israel's foremost medical research center, today announced that its portfolio company, KAHR Medical Ltd., was granted a U.S. patent approval (U.S. Patent No. 8329657).
