A clinical trial of an experimental drug designed to treat cravings associated with opioid use disorder has begun in the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center.
Researchers from the University of Chicago have been awarded a five-year, $1.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop stimulated dendritic cell-derived exosomes that show remarkable promise as a treatment for multiple sclerosis and other neurological diseases involving loss of myelin, the insulation around nerve fibers.

One way to improve the affected patients' survival might be to prevent the brain metastases from arising in the first place. With that in mind, researchers have been working on a predictive model that accurately identifies these high risk patients.
